The Pagedale Development Project aims to enact a long-term and sustainable transformation of Pagedale, a lower-income, largely African American suburb of St. Louis County. A collaboration among the George Warren Brown School of Social Work, the School of Architecture, and the Institute of Public Health at Washington University in St. Louis, Beyond Housing, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the project represents a new approach to neighborhood development work—a comprehensive asset-building strategy—that integrates asset development, human development, and community development.
