The Mission Continues endorses continued civic service as an innovative approach to facilitate improved readjustment outcomes for post- 9/11 veterans. This study focuses on the second cohort of post-9/11 veterans who began the program in 2011 or 2012 and assesses their characteristics, perceived impacts on professional and career development, history of civic engagement, and motivation for pursuing the fellowship.
