Bank Compliance With National Transaction Account Standards: Evidence From a Mid‐Western Metropolitan Area

For some, access to the financial mainstream is about accessing an affordable bank account, but how does one find such an account or know what affordability should look like?

The findings suggest that bank account cost is not the only barrier for consumers. As the authors note, the findings also suggest implications for policy and practice.
