Asset Building Financial Capability Books & Chapters

Child Welfare and Protection and Poverty Alleviation

By CSD • September 3, 2023July 23, 2024

Asset building represents a distinct theoretical perspective in the field of antipoverty social work, a perspective that is essential for antipoverty work in modern mainland China. In this chapter, the authors examine the connection between poverty alleviation strategies— particularly asset-building approaches—and child well-being.

This chapter appears in 资产建设视角的反贫困社会工作:发展、对话与启示 [Asset-building perspective in anti-poverty social work: Development, dialogue, and insights], which was edited by Suo Deng, Jin Huang, Shu Fang, and Xiaochun Zhou and published by East China University of Science and Technology Press.
