In Missouri, rates of food insecurity are relatively high but participation in WIC, the federal Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children, is relatively low. This study aimed to understand the reasons for this. Analyzing data from the Missouri WIC Experience Survey, the authors examined access to WIC and satisfaction with the program. The findings identify options for expanding access and improving satisfaction.
