Annie Grier
Project Manager

​ANNIE GRIER is a Project Manager at the Center for Social Development, where her work focuses on reversing mass incarceration in the United States. Ms. Grier has developed and managed programs in North Carolina and Pennsylvania for women reentering society after incarceration. As a graduate student at the George Warren Brown School of Social Work, she contributed to research focused on the interaction of trauma and substance abuse in criminal offending and the impact of social supports on male recidivism. She also coordinated a community advisory board dedicated to designing evidence-based interventions for male former prisoners. Before joining CSD in June 2015, Ms. Grier served as a project manager and consultant for the Concordance Academy, an evidence-driven organization focused on providing services to adults returning to the community from prison. Ms. Grier holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master of Social Work, specializing in women and girls in the criminal justice system, from Washington University in St. Louis.​
