The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis devoted a feature article in the spring issue of its publication, Bridges, to Child Development Accounts (CDAs), an innovative tool for making long-term investments in children. CDAs are savings accounts, often opened at birth, with features that encourage and facilitate saving for a child’s future. The Federal Reserve’s Bank decision to feature CDAs is one of many examples of growing national and international interest in this policy tool.
In addition to providing an overview of CDAs, the Bridges article also spotlights important research CSD conducts on CDAs through SEED (Savings for Education, Entrepreneurship, and Downpayment) and SEED for Oklahoma Kids (SEED OK).
