​St. Louis, Missouri​​CSD co-sponsored a conference and workshop at the State Islamic University School of Social Welfare, in Jakarta, Indonesia. The conference focused on the issues of mainstreaming social development in the Indonesian welfare system.

​St. Louis, Missouri​Tribal leaders, tribal community members, and other interested stakeholders convened to discuss several potential asset-building development strategies for Indian Country, and how tribes might go about establishing these strategies in their communities in culturally appropriate ways.

​London, United Kingdom​​CSD and the Institute for Volunteering Research in the UK, in partnership with the Center for International Studies at the University of Missouri, St. Louis, convened 35 researchers and leading practitioners in international service, representing 15 countries.

​Washington, DC​The roundtable marked the beginning of the National Conference on Volunteering and Service. Key plenary discussions included volunteer engagement in meeting millennium development goals, research highlighting effective volunteer service policy models, and addressing global conflict through service and interfaith dialogue.
February 28 - March 1, 2007
​St. Louis, Missouri​CSD hosted the latest research on civic service and volunteerism worldwide. Civic Service Research Fellows presented their research in four separate panels on international service, service-learning, national service, and service in Latin America.

​Singapore​​The Global Assets Project (a joint venture of CSD and the New America Foundation), the National University of Singapore, and the Financial Access Initiative of New York University convened 100 leaders from diverse fields to illuminate and inform strategies for universal inclusion in savings and asset-building products, programs, and policies around the world.

​St. Louis, Missouri​This symposium offered an opportunity to access the state of knowledge on CDAs and related topics, particularly in the United States. The emphasis was on interdisciplinary research and dialogue, and application of knowledge to policy and practice.
