International scholars and experts from China met to study asset-based policy and its potential impacts and applications in China. International scholars introduced the theory and practice of asset-based policy. Experts from China focused on Chinese social policies for poverty reduction and development. Discussion sessions explored how lessons from Chinese social development can inform future international policy developments, and how international experiences might be adapted to the unique circumstances of China. Support was provided by Shandong University, CSD, and the Chinese Academy of Social Science.
