Pagedale Development Project

Community Engagement

The Pagedale Development Project tested a comprehensive approach that encompasses leadership and human capacity development, youth development, educational attainment, asset building in households, housing improvement, business growth, social services for individuals and families, and a community economic development initiative.

Pagedale, Missouri, is small western suburb of St. Louis. This multiyear initiative was a collaborative effort of Beyond Housing, the Center for Social Development, the Brown School and Washington University in St. Louis.

We designed the initiative to develop an integrated “equity” framework for community development to inform a variety of constituencies on effective redevelopment of a neighborhood.
