Presented by Jeyran Rahmatullayeva, head of the Office of the State Committee on Family, Women and Children Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The committee is a government ministry responsible for designing and regulating polices affecting families, children and women in Azerbaijan. She is actively involved in designing policies for women, children and families nationwide and supervises 11 family support centers.
Before joining the committee, she worked in the civil sector building community-level services in Azerbaijan. For that work and her advocacy of Azerbaijan’s law on domestic violence, she received the Medal of Progress from Azerbaijan’s president in 2016.
