CSD co-sponsored a conference and workshop at the State Islamic University School of Social Welfare, in Jakarta, Indonesia. The conference focused on the issues of mainstreaming social development in the Indonesian welfare system. The workshop explored the possibility of adapting and incorporating an asset-building approach into Indonesian social policy. The conference was attended by 100 participants including scholars from 8 schools of social welfare, government officials, and NGO activists. The workshop was attended by 30 participants representing 4 schools and government officials. Support was provided by the Indonesian Ministry of Social Welfare; Department of Social Welfare, University of Indonesia; Bandung College of Social Welfare; and CSD.
