Participants selected from the US and abroad will gather at Washington University in St. Louis to assess policy challenges, research on policy practice, and professional training of social workers. All three themes will be under-pinned by an evidence-based perspective. We use the title social policy innovation and engagement to describe the broader agenda, emphasizing innovation, knowledge building, and professional capacity.
The conference is organized by the Center for Social Development and the Policy Forum at the George Warren Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis, and the Paul Baerwald School of Social Work and Social Welfare at Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
