The forum, Youth Savings Accounts: The Youth Development and Financial Inclusion Nexus?, represents the culmination of a year of research and planning by a global consortium that is exploring the potential for piloting a youth savings initiative in Nepal, Colombia, Ghana and Kenya with the support of the MasterCard Foundation. Co-hosted by consortium partners CSD, Save the Children, New America Foundation and CGAP, and funded by The MasterCard Foundation, the forum will offer an opportunity for members of the consortium and other scholars to consider the role youth savings accounts could play in achieving youth development and financial inclusion goals.
