Please join us for this event focused on addressing racial and ethnic disparities to help build fiscal health and strengthen our financial future. We will explore ways to help struggling Americans, including discussing the ideas in a new book, What It’s Worth: Strengthening the Financial Future of Families, Communities and the Nation. The book was published by the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco in partnership with the Corporation for Enterprise Development (CFED) and provides a road map for what families, communities and our nation can do to move forward on the path to financial well-being.
Speakers will include these What It’s Worth contributing authors:
• Dedrick Asante-Muhammad, Director, Racial Wealth Divide, Corporation for Enterprise Development (CFED)
• Ray Boshara, Senior Adviser and Director, Center for Household Financial Stability, Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis
• Jason Purnell, Assistant Professor, George Warren Brown School of Social Work, Washington University in St. Louis
• Michael Sherraden, Director, Center for Social Development, Washington University in St. Louis
There will also be presentations about community initiatives and best practices offered by local and regional practitioners:
• Chris Krehmeyer, President/CEO, Beyond Housing, St. Louis, Mo.
• Amy Blansit, Project Manager, The Northwest Project, Springfield, Mo.
Lunch will be provided and a light reception will follow the meeting. Attendees will also receive a copy of What It’s Worth.
