This conference report from the Southern Regional Asset Building Coalition covers the topics discussed on October 21-22, 2010 in New Orleans, Louisiana. The conference focused on expanding approaches and increasing opportunities to promote asset development in communities, states, and the southern region. Presenters examined economic development issues affecting both the country and specifically southern states. The goals of the conference were to facilitate organizational learning about current asset policy initiatives and to help all stakeholders in the field develop strategies to assist one another through collective action.
