Asset Building Financial Inclusion Working Paper

Achieving the American Dream? a Longitudinal Analysis of the Homeownership Experiences of Low-Income Households

By CSD • July 1, 2005October 27, 2021

In this discussion paper, I summarize my dissertation research and highlight the key findings that have relevance for U.S. homeownership policy. To situate the discussion that follows, I begin with a brief review of the literature on low-income homeowners in the United States, and describe my research methodology. However, this paper does not include the extensive literature review, detailed methodological steps, or all the analyses contained in the dissertation.
