International Service and Higher Education: Toward a Vision for the Field

This report is a summary of the International Service and High Education Symposium held on March 31-April 1, 2011 at Washington University in St. Louis. The symposium sought to define a vision for the field of international service and how higher education can play a broader role. Understanding how to educate students to be global citizens and engage effectively in a globalized society was a key concept among the various presentations.
