Singapore has long been a leader in inclusive asset-based social policy. In this chapter, Michael Sherraden examines Singapore’s achievements in this area and identifies remaining challenges. Sherraden’s compelling vision of inclusive asset building has shaped efforts around the globe, and he has studied Singaporean policies since writing Assets and the Poor in 1991.
