Inequality and Child Well-Being: Implications for Research

This paper reviews theories from several academic perspectives then summarizes a series of empirical studies that attempt to pinpoint variables that predict children’s attainment and/or adult outcomes. The main question considered is how much factors associated with family resources (primarily measured by household income and wealth) influence child outcomes.
