This paper reports on a qualitative pilot study of youth participants who are involved in the SEED program at Juma Ventures in San Francisco. In-depth interviews with youth participants are designed to help provide a rich understanding of the background and savings experiences of young people in an asset-building program, facilitators and obstacles to saving, and perceived effects of program participation.
