Meeting the Grand Challenge to Create Social Responses to a Changing Environment

The Grand Challenges for Social Work is an initiative designed to harness the ingenuity, expertise, dedication, and creativity in the field of social work and beyond to champion “social progress powered by science.” One of the initiative’s signature priorities, the Grand Challenge to Create Social Responses to a Changing Environment, works to support social workers and aligned professionals as they grow commitments to urgently advance climate and environmental justice. This policy brief offers specific recommendations to address persistent social and structural inequities contributing to and exacerbated by the changing climate.

This brief is one in a series published by the Grand Challenges for Social Work initiative to inform policy. The full collection is accessible here.
