Highlighting community economic development efforts within and beyond the United States, this special issue was designed to stimulate thinking about social work’s relationship with community economic development, to encourage research, and to develop social work’s curriculum in this area of work. Contributions in this special issue were simultaneously published as chapters in Community Economic Development and Social Work.
