Financial Capability Training for Social Workers in Singapore: Towards More Effective Practice

Every day, all over the globe, social workers guide and support financially vulnerable people but seldom have formal training in financial matters. This study reports early findings from an effort to change that.

In Singapore, an innovative pilot program has tested the integration of a financial education and financial capability curriculum into social work education. This study reports on the development of that curriculum and on results from the test of the pilot.
